This is Your Reminder

Ladies, we’re being watched you know.

It’s true.

The women in our lives are looking into the window of our lives to see what we will do. They’re getting answers to their questions about us and about God…

Is she really who she claims to be?

Does it show in the way she’s loving her children?

Is it apparent in the way she honors her husband?

Is God being glorified in every-single-decision she makes?

We’re responsible. Not for perfection, no… but for action, yes.

To that new believer whose watching to see if we humbly and joyfully submit to our husbands requests. To the teenage babysitters peeking in to see if we are content and peace-filled as we work in our homes. And to our nieces and daughters who desperately need to witness us following Jesus down every road.

Like it or not they’re watching.

And we just might be that example that tells the story of what being God’s girl is all about. When we say that all important YES to Jesus we’re taking on this job, this Titus-Two responsibility to uphold the women in our lives.

It’s a big job.

It’s your real life reality show and you’re the star! Are you acting the part? Take your cues from the Master and Director of the universe!

THIS IS YOUR REMINDER: They’re watching and so is He.

Represent Jesus to the women in your life!

Our actions truly do speak louder than our words. As I read your post, I was reminded of this quote:
“Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” St. Francis of Assisi

Thank you for this reminder. May we never forget~

Hi Heidi – I love this – a great reminder that what I do and how I behave are how people see my God. I am a representative and need to be mindful of how I behave. Great reminder for me as I start this new day.

And thank you, Heidi, for linking up with me today. I really appreciate it. The support is humbling.
God bless

What an awesome reminder that is, Heidi! And even for all of us bloggers, are we giving our readers “us”? If they know us personally, are our words matching our actions? Thank you for this reminder! I will take my cues from Him for my reality show! (Gosh, my reality show would be very funny, yet dramatic most days!)

Heidi:

You are right, like it or not, the world is watching. I like the quote Stacy used about preaching the gospel at all times. Often, our words aren’t necessary for they first are watching our actions.

Blessings,
Joan

There is no telling what people will say about me.. *sigh*. I hope they say, “She did the best she could… and we know she loved God.” I work out side of the home, so this verse kinda stings at times lol, but I do try (sometimes fail) to make my home a great place for my kids and my husband. Great encouragement Heidi. They are watching. Our children, our neighbors, relatives, even strangers. And most important God. Do my actions and words always reflect God? Ouch.

Too often they are watching us…and if we aren’t living it, how are “they” ever going to believe it…We have a mentoring group started at church and it’s amazing how many young women and moms didn’t have Titus 2 modeled for them…it IS our responsibility…
wonderful Word!

This is so true! I do wish that more of the older women in the church had more time for some of us younger ones. There are so many things they could teach us and I LOVE hearing their stories and adventures. Of course, I haven’t exactly asked them to come hang out with me either 🙂

Blessings,
Mel

Heidi this is so true!! One of my first interactions with Christians I was blown away by how they acted. I believed what they were saying about the gospel because of the love the showed in their actions.
